Teach to children how to play chess, at school and at home
This is what we like to do!
Chess is an ancient and beautiful game, it rouses the creativity and imagination of children and it attracts their attention on logical processes.
In this Website you can find many videos referred to two international conferences ( 2009 "Chess: a game to grow up with", 2012 "Chess Mathematics: learning by playing") which dealt with the topic "Chess in school" from various points of view: the teaching methodologies, the researches, the psychology and the organizations which pledge themselves all over the world in the attempt to bring chess at school.
In those pages there are a lot of proof on advantages which derive from the use of chess as a propaedeutic learning's instrument, you can also find prof. Martini's speech about the last Italian research called SAM, which used INVALSI (the National Institute for the Evaluation of the Education System) tests, that showed how to achieve better results in math using chess. Furthermore we provide the access to "Victor's chess house" to all children, but also to those schools which want to learn how to practise the game of chess by WEB.
Probably a lot of schools cannot start chess projects because of the lack of funds, shortage of skilled instructors, or since teachers are not still sufficiently well-informed about this didactic instrument.
Victor the cat, who is a good instructor, can teach the game in an interactive way, offering to children the possibility to play together, despite the distance.
"Victor's chess house" has been subject of research in 2010 (you can see the speech of prof. Trinchero here).
We also refer to families in order that they may propose this educative and stimulating game to their children, who use to spend a lot of time in front of the TV, Play-Station or PC.
Why don't offer them a possibility to learn a game useful also to improve their results at school?
